My setup = PMS running on Windows 10 Pro with MS Defender Antivirus. Proper exclusions for Plex. Asus RT-AC88u router with firewall off.
Up until Nov 1st, I was able to access my content remotely with the Relay feature. I understand it isn’t as good as setting up true remote access but I love how effortless and flawless it worked without any configurations to router. Now, for some reason, the relay feature has completely stopped functioning. My desktop with Plex Media Server has been restarted and the internet is working perfectly. All network devices inside my house work perfectly. But when connecting outside the network, it doesn’t work. Why would the relay feature just stop working all the sudden with no other changes? I thought it was basically “fool-proof” as it connects to a plex cloud server and then my cell phone or laptop on starbucks wifi connects to the same plex cloud server?
I tried all three while troubleshooting and none fixed the issue. Last night, I read a post where someone rebooted their Asus router and it fixed it. I rebooted mine and it resolved the issue. I’ve only been a plex pass member for 2 months so I hope rebooting router isn’t something I have to do very often. Glad it’s working again!

It should NOT be something you have to do often, I have had to do this to my Asus router twice since 2013.
I believe it is a binding issue, not entirely sure though.
