Plex Remote Access and Tailscale - ISP WAN IP forwarding to Tailscale IP

Server Version#: 4.129.1
Player Version#: 4.129.1

Remote access - the standard Plex provided out of box feature - isn’t working when my Tailscale network interface is enabled. Any advice or help really appreciated.

I have a normal Windows PC, with an ethernet connection and I also have Tailscale installed. So, two network active network adaptors.

Plex Remote Access really wants to use the Tailscale network adaptor, and seems to try to forward my ISP WAN IP address to the Tailscale network IP address. This seems like it would never work!

When I shut down/disconnect Tailscale, and restart the Plex Server, everything works as expected and my ISP WAN IP address is forwarded to my Ethernet adaptor/IP address as expected.

I’d really like to tell Plex to completely ignore the Tailscale network interface, but I don’t know how to do this.

I don’t need the Plex server accessible over Tailscale.

This is a problem when my PC restarts, Plex always picks up the Tailscale network interface/IP address and then remote access doesn’t work, requiring me to sort things out manually.

I have tried changing the Preferred network interface to both the options in the Network Settings, neither option fixes this problem. I assumed this would sort it, but it doesn’t.

Interestingly, the Tailscale interface is never shown in this list.

ipconfig output below
