Hi, I’m also experiencing the same problem where PLEX is sudenly this week stating “Not available outside your network
Your server is signed in to Plex, but is not reachable from outside your network. Learn more”.
Nothing at all on my system has changed, I’ve been using the same things for years without this problem. I’m running Windows 10 on my PC and accessing Plex Server through my ROKU 3 which are both plugged directly to my ASUS Router. I’ve been happily watching through my ROKU using PLEX but I’ve noticed that the video quality was very poor and definitely not what it should be, so I checked and indeed I had a message referring to this problem. I rebooted my modem and router and then my computer and ROKU and nothing changed, still have this message that I didn’t have before.

Here are mine. It started working again earlier in the week but seems to sometimes be intermittent now. Thanks for your help, Andy.

Good evening and thank you for the quick reply. Please find attached the log you asked for. I’ve been trying about everything now and can’t explained why after so long (years) working I get this sudden message from Plex, did something changed this past few weeks on Plex side? Because absolutely nothing changed on my side, I even downloaded and installed the update 1.5.6.2 and it didn’t resolved this issue.

Unfortunately, I don’t see anything that relates to an error with your remote connection in your logs. Keep in mind that your logs only cover a few minutes at a time and they are overwritten on a regular basis. If the issue happens again, try to collect the logs as soon after as you can, thanks.
Will do. Thank you.

@jsaumur you do realise that this is the Synology NAS Forum?Looking through your logs I found these:
Jun 16, 2017 22:38:24.483 [6672] WARN - HTTP error requesting GET https://plex.tv/updater/products/1/check.xml?build=windows-i386&channel=16&distribution=english&version=1.5.6.3790-4613ce077 (0, No error) (Could not resolve host: plex.tv) Jun 16, 2017 22:31:27.482 [3248] ERROR - PublicAddressManager: Unable to get public IP adddress from myPlex (httpCode=-6): Jun 16, 2017 22:31:28.682 [13568] ERROR - Error issuing curl_easy_perform(handle): 6Along with a host of other network related errors. It would appear that you need to at least reboot your modem/router and everything connected to it including any wireless devices.
If you have any anti-virus programs installed, either disable/remove them or make sure they are allowing Plex to reach the internet properly.
Other than that, make sure your network is configured and working correctly.
Good morning,
No I didn’t realise that this was the Synology NAS Forum, I’m not even sure of what that is to tell you frankly lol I just saw that the problem was exactly what I was experiencing that’s all.
I’m not sure what the error message you show me means, but as I mentioned before nothing at all has changed on my system and my router and modem are working just fine since I can use them for other things the same way I normally do.
I just did another try without changing anything after reading your message, and just out of the blue the remote access is now working just fine and it’s green. How do you explain that one? I’m worried that the problem may turned out like others to be an intermittent one. I just can’t explain why it would stop working when absolutely nothing was changed.
Oh and BTW, before the time frame you mentioned in the error up on this message, I did reset every machine contributing to Plex being able to work, so that’s my modem, router, computer and ROKU machine, and it didn’t do any difference.
Almost all the time I install the PLEX updates I have this issue and it takes days to fix it. Again, I’m struggling to get my remote access back. No success so far. I’ll end up giving up Plex.
seeing the same thing
Exactly the same here. The only thing that changed on my LAN is a newer version of PMS. I’ll try and downgrade to the PMS version that Synology provides, to see if that fixes things…
