Just to be super clear… what you’re promoting here is a pre-alpha forum preview of the Plex Media Server (focusing solely on the upcoming credits detection feature → hence listed as an experimental version as you can see in the URL). It should not be considered a messiah release to fix the entirety of a remote access setup. According to the related forum preview thread, it’s even a little behind with some fixes otherwise available in the public beta.

Unlike what you and others have suggested is to re-read the troubleshooting guide 1000 times.
While I appreciate these forums and those that try and help people, telling me to “check the troubleshooting guide” when I’ve used plex successfully for a VERY long time… is not the help that’s needed.
Not every single person that asks for help simply doesn’t know what to do or how to do it.
In MY CASE, trying to troubleshoot this very specific problem, nothing I could do - via the troubleshooting guide or my own expertise could make me connectable remotely. HOWEVER, upgrading to that specific release has made it possible again.
So, something with THAT release worked, for me, there’s 0% wrong with my suggesting others to try it… if someone actually reported back that it didn’t work for them, i would no longer suggest it.
If I felt like being frustrated with plex again today, i’d try the public beta you speak of, but thats not what I’d like to do today.
i was getting double nat errors in my plex logs from my windows plex server and could not get remote access to stay green, kept going to red after a few seconds. i ticked the manually specify public port and inserted the port number in the box in plex, i then port forwarded the same port number in my new asus router with merlins firmware on…and nord vpn on router and kept getting unable to access outside your network in plex…there is a setting on the asus router called Enable secure UPnP mode under wan - internet connections,uncheck that and click apply solved my double nat errors and the remote access to stay green,hope this helps someone.
