Recently I have noticed that the Plex Remote Access stops working after a certain amount time. I can reenable it and it will work for a while and then stop. This seems to be a bug in Plex as the equipment that I have been using has not changed.
Post logs next time it happens. I had something similar this morning. Hoping it was just a fluke thing.
Now web access stops immediately. Router ports are configured correctly and I tried to manually specified the port on the Plex server to no avail. As soons as I find the logs I’ll attach them.Plex Media Server Logs_2019-04-09_14-29-33.zip (3.4 MB)
OK the issue seems to be corrected by rebooting the router and signing out and back into the plex server. I rebooted the router but it didn’t stay available until I signed out and back into the Plex server. Remote access stayed available all night so it seems to be corrected. I’ll post back any other updates. Hope this helps anyone else having similar issues.
No such luck I guess. Remote access is down again.
What’s the details of your Plex setup and are you using Wifi or LAN connection? Also do you have port forwarding and static ip setup so when server is rebooted it obtains the same address?
Yes, I have the server on an ethernet connection with a static IP and the correct port forwarded on the router. I just can’t figure it out but I think I’m leaning toward a router issue. It stays active for hours and then boom it’s unavailable. Then I have to disable and reenable remote access.
