Plex remote access when Forward the Port in the Router is not an option

Is there an alternative to using Plex remote access feature when the forward the port in the router approach cannot be done?

UPNP but that relies on a port forward that gets setup automatically.

You could setup your own SSL cert and apply that information to Plex under settings network and browse to plex.yourdomain.com and view content that way.
I believe this will only work with a browser not the apps.

Plex will run in “Relay” mode.
In this mode, everything is rerouted through Plex.tv

The drawback of this is all content is limited to 1 Mbps for free users, and 2 Mbps for Plex Pass users.

Oops I forgot about the relay mode… yes that will work as well.
