Is is possible to do Plex remote streaming using PlexConnect? I like to take my ATV2 on the road with me and use the other Plex to watch my stuff at home. If I update to 5.3 and use PlexConnect, is that still possible?
You could sync up and airplay as a workaround.
Today I tried setting up my AppleTV at work to connect to my Plex server at home. It is working great. I am running the latest version of PlexConnect from github on a Mac on the same network as the AppleTV, and I changed the settings.cfg to add in the public IP address and port of my Plex server and turn off GDM. The only thing other thing I had to do was add my work network to the allowed networks on my Plex Server, otherwise I got an authentication error. While it would be great to allow for a username and password in settings.cfg, it is probably more useful in the long run for PlexConnect to support myPlex (which I know is being worked on).

where did u put the Public ip adress "ip_webserver ?" why do u need to disable GDM? what does it do?
ip_pms = yourpublicip
enable_plexgdm = False
gdm is plex's way of autodiscovering server on the same subnet
oh i see thanks, i misread the post i now se that u have set up a second PlexConnect server at ur office, i thought u had only the apple tv at work pointing to ur home ip public adress :unsure:
that whould be awesome i want to set up one at my kids granny but i have no desire to hook up a computer there :D
You could set up the second server where the pms is if you can bind the second instance to an external IP or another internal one that you portforward to and portforward 80 and 443
