Any idea why Plex removed the music library from desktop/TV app.. I like to listen music using my surround sound on my Samsung TV, which I cannot do now that the music library has been removed.
With which exact platforms / version of the Plex app are you experiencing this?
client version =2026.17
Platform =26.6.1
Ok… that sounds like the mobile version and iOS?
Plex doesn’t currently support music libraries in its mobile apps. You should instead use Plexamp which offers more music-oriented features.
However, Plex have promised to add photo and music libraries back to the “regular” new-experience apps – from what I remember, they already did for the big-screen apps (for which there’s no Plexamp alternative).
Thanks, I found an update to get the music library option. thanks for your help.
