Where can I find or download the Samsung plex app, officially released for UHD TVs to side load on my Samsung 4K bluray player (model UBD-M8500)? I have side loaded the beta version released in June (version 3.103.1) and it works fine with this player (Tizen 3.0 interface). The Samsung store for this player (South Africa) still has a very old version of Plex (3.8.0) with the interface from 2017 and a bug for playing Dolby TrueHD soundtracks, so it is not an option. Samsung does not seem to provide good support for these devices as development has stopped, hence the need to sideload the app. Please assist with location or link to download the latest (official current) version.
Even if the version is not the official release, then at least the latest version that the plex development team has submitted to Samsung must surely be available somewhere? My frustration is that Samsung store access is limited by the device and region and there is no way to get a copy intended for another device or alternative store.
Alternatively the issue can be resolved if the Plex player development team finally update the Samsung 4k bluray player app to the UNO interface. To me it appears an easy possibility as there players also run Tizen as on the UHD tv sets and on first sight the beta version I installed actually works. Is there any plan to bring out the UNO interface on 4K-bluray players/devices?
