Plex Scanner do not recognize all movies

Hi all!

 

Hope you can help. PMS is running on a Mac Mini (Files on Synology NAS). Unfortunately it does not recognize all movies. I would say about 90%. Although all files are .mkv files but a few of them will not be recognised for some reason. All are named in the same way,.. for example: This Is the title.mkv

 

That's why I do not understand some of them are not shown :(

 

Any ideas?

All are named in the same way,.. for example: This Is the title.mkv

They should be named: This is the title (year).mkv

eg.  Frozen (2014).mkv

Thanks! I did this now and it seems it is working!! but PSM is recognise all other 90% of the movies without the year?? I really don't want to rename all movies now :(

I use a program called Filebot to find and rename my files.  It normally is as simple as dragging a directory of movies in, clicking match and selecting themoviedb.  After that just scroll through the list to see if there are any weird matches and if not select rename.

Unfortunately, the way the scanner works if you're not using the standard naming convention it is kind of hit or miss on if it can find something with a slightly different name.
