Plex scanner maxing out CPU

Server Version#: Version 1.32.1.6999

Since this version, Plex Scanner is maxing out my CPU after adding new files. 100% CPU usage until scanning is complete. All 8 cores. Last run was with 8 MKVs (under 300MB each).

Win 11 Pro 22H2. AMD 2700X. 16 GB RAM. RX580X (not a high spec machine).

I have never seen this behaviour before in the more than ten years I have used Plex.

Edit - removing and adding back just one of those files also causes the CPU to hit 100% until scanning is complete. Nothing else I use comes close to maxxing out the CPU.

Caused by Credit Detection it seems.

I really don’t have a use for that function, especially if it is going to thrash my CPU.

Disabled for all libraries.
