An example from my Plex set-up. I have Plex Media Server running on my Synology NAS, and my music files are also residing on that NAS.
I take the example of the track “One” by U2. I chose this example because artist and title are short :-). I have the track as part of the album “Achtung Baby”. It’s correctly tagged with the Plex Music agent, and it is available.
But when I search for it, I’m having problems. In my screen recording you can see me searching for “U2” (band is showing up), for “One” (showing all artists with One in the name), and all combinations like “U2 - One” “One - U2”, “One,U2”, “U2;One”. I never get the right track as the top suggestion.
This is especially frustrating when using Soundiiz to generate and transfer playlists from other services. That means tracks with a generic title as “One” are unfindable.
What is the workaround, or is Plex planning to enhance its search engine?
