Plex Search changes are awful

There are apparently some changes to the recent Plex Server update.
I’ve removed ALL remote online sources to get rid of “that” annoyance.
However, it used to be that if I was in a web browser doing a search for another movie in my library… I could right click it as a link, and open it in a new tab.

Now, if I right click a search result, I am no longer able to open it in a new tab.
The only option is to left click it and that takes me away from the current page I’m on in the same window.

This is a massive inconvenience. Please change it back so that search results can be right clicked to open in a new tab.

I agree. I’m disappointed, though not surprised, that they allowed the new search to go to the stable builds in such an unfinished and reduced-feature state. They said that the full search results page will be returning “at some point,” but it should have been done before the new dropdown-only search got out of beta.

Plex has a really bad, user-unfriendly habit of doing that.

There’s another thread where they acknowledged the deficiencies and stated they were working on it. Just adding as an indication that something might change. Agreed, the new search is… bad.

It was one of those features that worked well enough.

Plex, taking in the 0 suggestions and calls for improvement, steps to the plate to really bang one backwards out of the park.

yes its made the web version unusable. makes like 20% of my library unfindable via search

(have different versions of different movies and tv shows for various necessary reasons)

the old searches search page would show them… now there is ZERO way to find them via search : (
