Plex sees news as movie cannot record as series

Strange issue that I can’t figure out. Using zap2xmltv to generate a guide and plex sees my 6pm news as a show so I can’t record it as a series or to the share I want. It’s like it sees it as a movie and I have no idea what’s wrong or how to fix it. Ideas?

I have the same problem - I use IceTV has my guide source.
IceTV shows the correct categorization of the series - yet plex has it as a movie - which means I can’t record a series.
I’ve contacted IceTV and they’ve confirmed their category is correct (which I can see on the web).

Not sure people will read and action this - it’s SUPER FRUSTRATING!
Anyone?
