Having trouble matching two series, even when searching using tvdb-###. The first is “Old Enough! Canada”, it just gives no matches:

The second is Contraband: Seized at the Airport, it tries really hard to match it as the other two similar series “Seized at the Border” or “Seized at Sea”. This is perhaps a little more understandable because Airport doesn’t even have an IMDB page yet, but the episodes are out:
Nope, there are three series: Seized at the Border, Seized at Sea, and the newest Contraband: Seized at the Airport is the one I can’t get to match.
Okay, so any insight into the issues with Old Enough! Canada?
Y’all are the ones that deprecated non-Plex agents, I just want to be able to have my shows matched without a rigmarole.
Don’t use IMDB as your source when working with Plex. Plex imports metadata from The Movie Database (primary) and TheTVDB (secondary).
Both shows were just created on the two sites within the last couple of days. Give it some time to propagate down to Plex. Try again in a few days.

The deprecated (legacy) Plex agents were also TheTVDB and The Movie Database, just like the new modern agent.
I looked on TMDB and IMDB.
I even tried using IMDB-specific call out.
I then used an older version of PMS to make sure there was no regression.
No joy on either series.
There is missing metadata in the master DB.
I’ve submitted a metadata ticket for you to fix it.
Given they are new, Let’s give them a bit to populate
Right, except if I was using a TVDB agent I’d have my shows matched right now.
Plex does not hit TheTVDB for each request.
That would overwhelm them.
Plex gets periodic updates from its metadata providers.
Your match/metadata requests are sent to Plex
