While using the new “Plex Series” agent and a manual “fix match” and search for title “tmdb-240586” results in a match with german title and english description.
The corresponding tmdb entry is correct for both english and german versiont: Link to tmdb.
While selecting this match, the collected metadata is also mixed up (title in german, series overview in English). The episode overviews are missing, although tmdb has both. german and english.
Using the “old” agents for tmdb (or tvdb) work fine.
Can anyone reproduce this problem? Any logs needed? Or in other words: How can I debug such a problem since I tested this for days now and thought this is a problem of the tmdb / tvdb entries.
Are your files perhaps in mp4 format?
If they are, edit the series library, go to the “Advanced” tab, and disable “Prefer local metadata”.
Then “Refresh Metadata” for the whole series.

No, they are mkv. But anyway - I also deavtivated “prefer local metadata” in my small (test-) series-library anyway, to prevent any side-effects.
It appears the German descriptions were only added yesterday to TMDB.
It will take at least 48 hours before new additions or edits are available in Plex.
Thanks - I also experienced a quite long delay - waited 4-5 days and finally the description showed up as described. So the API seems to be delayed also compared to the metadata showed when manually assigning a tvdb/tmdb entry.
But I also noticed another reason caused by myself: In “TV-Show → Edit → language for metadata” English was selected and not “standard”
It seems I have the next problem with the new “Plex Series” agent with this TV-Show: alpha-retro - TheTVDB.com (ID: tvdb-373704).
In this case, there were some older entries and I added some new (but now >6-7 days old). None of them show up - neither with auto-assignment nor when manually assigning tvdb-373704 to the show (Scanner: Plex TV Series, Agent: Plex Series as usual). Tested with a completely fresh library.
A new library with the old “TheTVDB” agent ( Scanner: Plex TV Series) works as intended and all the german descriptions show up immediatly. Anything I can check here? Any hints?
