I have a video which doesn’t show in any library list but can be found if I search by name. I show two hits if I do the search and one of them shows the file is handled by server name “Server name +1”. I remove the file, clean the database and bundles, replace it and it always goes to this +1 server. How do I get this file to show in the library on the correct server?
is simply an indicator that the file is to be found on two sources, instead of just one.
Which sources these are, is revealed if you click on the “+1”.
A “source” could be
a second library on the same server, as well as
a library on a separate server.
a collection and/or its members
So, click on the “+1”. You should be seeing 2 instances listed.
The names of the server and the library on that server are listed on each of the two instances.
If you can’t find an item when scrolling through the library, it could be caused by a collection.
i.e. the item in question is member of a collection, and the library (or the collection itself) has been configured so that only the collection appears in the list, but not its members. https://support.plex.tv/articles/201273953-collections/
Whether my collection theory is correct, you can see on the preplay page of the item.
If it’s a member of a collection, the collection will appear further down.
