In ShowName/Season 02/ShowName – 2011-11-15 – Optional_Info.ext is the “/” mean “OR” do I have to put {n}/{s}/{n" all in at the begining? John

All mine are way simpler than the docs and all work perfectly. Just showname.s01e01.mkv for example. That’s it. Everything in one folder per show.
See Naming and Organizing Your TV Show Files
Scroll to the bottom of the document. It has examples for both episode based and date based shows.
This post has Filebot rules for episode based tv shows. Substitute the air date for {s00e00}.
To add to FordGuy and share what I use (and adjust directories as needed)
- /glock = the NAS mount
- /glock/media = all my media files in that shared folder/export
- /glock/media/tv2 = my older TV series
(I have tv, tv2, tv3, and tv4)
Episode format:
/glock/media/tv2/{n}/Season {s.pad(2)}/{n} - {s00e00} - {t}
Movies:
- I rename them with a path-local then move the entire subdir after I’ve added any extras
- Movie directories are:
– animated
– movies & movies2 (1080p H264)
– uhd (2160p HDR)
./{n} ({y}) [{vf}]/{n} ({y}) [{vf}]
An absolute path for 2160p HDR would be
/glock/media/uhd/{n} ({y}) [{vf}]/{n} ({y}) [{vf}]
For a movie like “Wonka (2023)” it comes out as: Wonka (2023) [2160p]
