Plex server continuously throwing error "EAE timeout!"

Server Version#: 1.19.5.3035
Player Version#: 4.34.3

I never really check but just stumbled into my console and saw this error printing out continuously. Coincidentally Plex seems to have been detecting intros on the same episode for a week or so. I assume it can’t decode the episode and is getting stuck?

For me Plex is running as a native Synology package, not Docker or anything fancy.

[Transcoder] [eac3_eae @ 0x9eabc0] EAE timeout! EAE not running, or wrong folder? Could not read '/volume1/Plex/tmp_transcoding/pms-dfddef63-7460-4269-82c1-9aa0b6db8894/EasyAudioEncoder/Convert to WAV (to 8ch or less)/2f5c2e1a-a630-49f3-90ff-6c794479388f_13516-0-974.wav'

Hey, thanks for getting back. Somehow Plex froze up and I relaunched the server today then it didn’t reproduce this issue again. I’ll keep an eye out for the next week or so to grab these logs, otherwise we can close.

I don’t know if there’s a way to trigger the intro detection task, but I may have to wait for that.

Thanks I actually did get it to reproduce by playing:
Jul 06, 2020 17:40:50.000 [Transcoder] [eac3_eae @ 0x23ae140] EAE timeout! EAE not running, or wrong folder? Could not read '/volume1/Plex/tmp_transcoding/pms-3fef570c-edae-4279-bb27-c47e39275eed/EasyAudioEncoder/Convert to WAV (to 8ch or less)/ynxljgtfzyi4j0r3hidaiafu_15655-0-0.wav'

Attaching the logs and xml:
Plex Media Server Logs_2020-07-06_17-42-18.zip (7.1 MB)
296029.xml.zip (2.3 KB)

That worked, thanks! Strange, I’ve never modified the permissions on that folder, and it looked like the permissions were already correct.

Hey @trumpy81, side question… would an issue like this ever get bubbled up to me (the administrator) or does it require I wait until a failure gets brought to my attention by a user?

It’d be nice if persistent errors were logged somewhere and I was given the opportunity to debug it without having to catch it happening in the act.
