Are you getting a kernel panic that requires the computer to be restarted?

If so, are you also using any Network Extensions?

If that’s the case for you, the quick solution is to disable the Plex DLNA server and then check for updates to the Network Extensions. Read the linked thread for more info.

defaults write com.plexapp.plexmediaserver DlnaEnabled 0

Hello, no my Mac doesn’t crash. It’s only Plex that shut’s down immediately after starting it.
What do you mean with Network Extensions? Addons to Plex? If so, no.
I’ll try the DLNA fix anyway and report back.

Didn’t help, I still can’t start my plex server :frowning:

Sounds like it’s a different issue!

Can you gather and share logs?

Hello, where do I find the Plex logs?

Thank you, seems like there’s a problem with the database:

How, can I fix this? Delete and make a clean reinstall?

Try this first but if all fails a total rebuild by uninstalling the correct way and install PMS all over again. Do not use any third party uninstallers as they are notoriously troublesome.

IMO fresh start is a new beginning, with a shinny new Big Sur, I have MacOS 11 with the latest Beta PMS and it’s just works. To add having your Movies and TV shows etc, named and structured correctly will result in a smooth and quick creation of new metadata.
