Plex Server crashes on TV Show library scan

Server Version#: 1.24.5.5173
Player Version#:1.35.1.2632-c6783c78 (Mac), 6.9.10.7373-629387567-Plex (Roku)
Mac OS 10.9.5 on a Mac Mini 2.53 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo

For the last several days (coinciding with both a server update and a router reboot), every time the TV Show library is scanned, the Plex server crashes. The other libraries can be scanned without issue. I also notice that bandwidth is varying widely, despite nothing being played.

In addition, the Live TV/DVR function no longer works (I can’t watch live TV, and scheduled shows do not appear to record (or maybe the lack of TV show scanning has them hidden). Also, my Roku player will not play anything–it gets to “33%” then times out.

I can play Plex files (with the exception of my photo library) from the Mac player. On all players, images will not display on media files.

I confirmed that Plex should still work with my older Mac and OS (although perhaps the “official” requirements are optimistic?)

Could this be a corrupted file? A network issue? HELP!!!

After doing research elsewhere, I was able to revert to an earlier version of the software, and the problems appear to be over. I think the Plex software should do a better job of alerting the users to issues (apart from just crashing), plus more testing is needed before posting upgrades.

Since I got zero responses on the forum, despite posting multiple messages over the last week, I’m wondering if there’s a different place to get support.
