I can’t seem to pinpoint the issue, so I’m hoping someone can help. I started having issues with Plex a couple weeks ago (running latest/beta), just constant crashing. I tried various troubleshooting steps:
During the day? Crash.
No one watching? Crash.
Fresh install? Crash.
Maybe it’s the drive, tried different drive… crash.
Maybe it’s movies, I tried shows… crash.
Maybe it’s a specific movie/show, I tried another… crash.
Maybe it’s the scanner/agent, I tried another… crash.
Maybe it’s video preview thumbnails or intro/credit detection, I disabled it… crash.
Edit: Going from scratch I added a folder full of videos (non movies/shows, just personal), no crashes… as soon as I added a folder with movies/shows with movie/show scanner/agent, it crashes. So does this mean it’s something within the scanner/agent?
The crash isn’t immediate every time, it’s just random, although I feel it’s mostly when it’s scanning stuff.
Log-wise, I enabled Debugging Logs (not verbose) and here are the lines before and after “Crash” (I think), not sure if that’s whats needed, but I can also post my full logs (but it does contain my email address in it which I’d rather not do?)
