PLEX server crashes whenever I try to play any video

As per title, as soon as I try to play video, or sometimes before then even, PLEX media server crashes and closes completely. I have tried repairing the install, uninstall and reinstall completely, no changes. I checked for conflicting dlls and none were found.

Two general comments:

  1. Turn off verbose logging unless requested. It causes the log files to wrap very quickly and needed information may be lost. PMS Settings -> General -> Show Advanced, then uncheck Enable Plex Media Server verbose logging.

  2. Just attach the .zip file. You only have to upload one file that way.

Thanks, I turned off verbose logging prior to uploading, and
did another test of playing a video. If that crash event was logged it should be non-verbose.

FYI, this can be closed now. The issue was with my NAS, where all my PLEX libraries reside. The NAS was having strange behaviour, but once I restarted it and check its file system, everything is back to normal.

Hmm… problem is back again. This time, restarting my NAS doesn’t seem to fix the issue. So I’m back to having PLEX crash every time I try to play video (and in some cases, it would crash before I could even get to that point… so just navigating through my libraries would crash PLEX server).
