Plex server does not update when you media added to library

ran scan files
the new movies under library do not show up.
windows server with mapped NAS Share
Full admin rights.

For support, these forums are pretty much it. Between other users and moderators, you can usually find solutions to most common problems.

I haven’t looked at your logs, because log files are a little above my head, but I can try and troubleshoot…

A few questions:

  1. Are all of your movies located at the same directory?
  2. If so, do you have other movies in this directory that are showing up?
  3. Are all of your movies stored and named using one of the recommended methods?https://support.plex.tv/articles/200381023-naming-movie-files/

  1. What is the source of your media, hows it created?
  2. If you didn’t create it, check the properties of the file itself and remove the name that may be there and try to refresh the metadata again.
