There was a recent outage a week or two ago, in which plex.tv was completely inaccessible. I understand how this could make it to where using the web player or access from outside the network would be interrupted, but not being able to play media on my LAN because your domain was not accessible, was troubling to say the least.
Is there any plan to make sure that LAN connectivity remains intact to the media server, even if your domain goes down, in the future?
The only one that currently has an issue when plex.tv is down are the iOS devices.
The rest are suppose to cache the last logged in user.
I know when the last issue occurred my PMP, Android App, & Roku all still work for me using the last logged in user. For the browser did you try the local IP when access the PMS?
I wish plex would get away from being internet dependent completely. I live on a boat and plex is my entertainment device on my nas. I move around and sometimes i have internet and sometimes
