Plex.tv is down again

Plex tv and/or Plex authentication server is down again.

I can’t change logged in user, can’t go to kids account. Plex.tv website is offline.

I can’t stream anything!!

Mine is spotty. When I click on Plex opening page it spins for a longtime and nothing happens. If I click on the library contents it shows me what is there. I did a port check and 32400 is open. Remote access is available. The only problem is it shows no remote access in red.

Looks like plex.tv is resolving to a loopback via DNS publically.

Plexweb is back here in West Virginia.

Remote Access and Local access never stopped, but all Desktop activities were squished flat.

Operations is restoring service at this time.

Due to the worldwide events, the demands on Plex.tv are above all previous records.

The operations team is increasing capacity to meet the demands.

Yes, there are mitigation plans.

Those plans are being implemented as we speak.

That’s so boring to use a local solution that needs a connexion to Internet to enable streaming from your PC to your TV apart from 5 meters !

What we’re all seeing is the sudden surge as

  1. People are now staying in their homes.
  2. They don’t have local servers -or-
  3. They don’t have anything new to watch (locally or on the other services)
  4. They turned to Plex’s streaming video service.
  5. Demand for streaming went through the roof.

As a Plexer - and not exactly glued to the TV News…

I went to the Food Lion the other day to get a few things only to find out Food Lion didn’t HAVE A FEW THINGS! This must be what Food Lion looked like during The Civil War.

No Toilet Paper - I would use Wonder Bread, but there’s none of that either.
I got 2 boxes of surgical gloves and some Prunes and came home.

Now, Plex goes down?
