Yeah this seems suspicious and so far so good without similar issue with the latest beta.
(LiveTV) Crash when stopping LiveTV (#8169)
And to note when it did occur it pretty much locked up my pc where i.e. I could not use my mail application or other FFox tab apps already open besides my network connection being broken.
Also being farely new to PLEX diagnostics, is there a place to read up on how to provide all the diagnostic information from PLEX logs and such? Otherwise I have no idea where those parts exist. I am IT proficient otherwise and donāt consider my self a typical user but really did not want to get into the bowels of debugging but was just FYIing symptoms as I noticed others complaining of similar in the past.
It appears with the latest general release of PLEX, the network issue is back. That is 3/4 way through recording shows that are in progress suddenly my network stops working as I find I canāt get to the internet and the recordings suddenly stop with still left to record. I again as before have to disable and enable my network card to reset whatever got hosed on the PC by PLEX and all is good again. I have not seen this issue for a few releases but seems back again. Can you fix it again! This happened now 2 days in a row when recording 2 programs in parallel while watching an already recorded show that I am playing from the same drive its recording to the other 2 shows to. And the play is done directly to an attached monitor so play is not occuring over the network. But the recording is coming through the network for the 2 shows from 2 tuners of a 3 tuner HD HomeRun as before.
Sorry, general Release of Plex means the one that all can have once out of Beta as published so my current version is this which I believe is not BETA. Version 1.12.3.4973

I am having this same issue on the General Release of Plex (v1.9.4.4325) Randomly getting disconnects from the server (Plex Pass and locally in Plex Home Theater) Its almost as if the Plex Media Server drops and isnāt able to reconnect. A reboot will fix the issue and I can access the media again.

Cannot really help with issues on old versions - 1.9.4 was released October 2017. The current version is 1.12.3.4973. Furthermore Plex Home Theater is no longer supported and was superseded by Plex Media Player
If you have issues on current version, please enable debug logging and provide logs and summary of the problem
Regarding my +1 beta fix, I thought I downloaded the general use version so must have caught a fix applied. But in any event it seems to disconnect when its recording and if I am surfing the web from the same machine where my network card gets into a state that disabling and re enabling the card fixes it and no reboot required. I guess I dont understand why this bug keeps showing up if you already fixed it once or twice since early last Fall. Being an IT guy myself during the day I dont have the energy to dive into this stuff and so hope you find and fix it.
It just happened again tonight at about 9:45pm NY est time on 4/30 about 10-15 minutes again before the finishing the hours recording was to complete recording 2 programs. I have WIN 7 that is up to date with the latest MS patches and use the Plex web client primarily with Firefox which is up to date at V59.0.3 to get to the server which is one and the same pc box while often surfing the web which is when I notice when the network card gets hosed such that I have to disable and reenqable it to get to the internet randomly. I have a 3 tuner HD HomeRun on my network that with the PC is connected via wire 1gig to the router directly. I have not turned on debugging as I never know when it is going to happen if it does. Hopefully these logs help as I see some errors in it towards the bottom of the larger log files of statistics and media server ones especially. Please fix this again. Before as noted above I thought I was running the last publicly published version but I must have installed it accidentally after a BETA fix you noted as 1.12.3.4973 is Plex Pass Beta which I just updated today to your latest Version 1.13.0.5003 before todays occurrence happened still similarly between the 2 Betas.
Can you tell me can I simply back out by current beta Plex version just by executing the install package for 1.12.2.4929 general public release or and older one? Or is there muchmore work to do and reconfigure to do to get back to an older public released better working version as it is getting annoying now?
Version 1.13.0.5023 Check for Updates Up to date --> is the public release we just updated too and now recordings stop abruptly once yesterday and now twice tonight within 1 hour. It seems PLEX no longer plays nice while using the browser to surf the web by hosing/locking up the network card that I continually have to disable and reenable to reset access to the internet both on the same workstation hosting the PLEX server, FFox browswer connected to the router and HDMI connection to TV. You guys/gals really need to fix this. This started happening again after the last good version of Plex-Media-Server-1.12.1.4885. So can I simply get back to that version by executing the downloadd for 4885 that will reset to that version or do I need to totally uninstall PLEX to install that earlier version which so would not be a good thing? This is getting ridiculous though that every time you now post new versions whether for public or beta you fix something or add something new and break what worked! I canāt recommend plex with this kind of instability regardless to feature rich funtions! Plex back track and fix it. And btw when I after the 2nd time recordings stopped abruptly I decided to stop and start the server the GUIDE started auto refreshing. What is up with that? And also this leads to when PLEX screws up the recordings into pieces ONE CANT continue recording the rest of the show because of the way you handle recordings as completed or not. Allow the recording to continue into a new file build and NAME IT something else like with a timestamp or such so that at least we can play both parts to watch the whole show instead of losing episodes totally. Very very shoddy.
I have been noticing the same issue with the GA release. Every time I access the plex client, my router logs a DOS attack (smurf attack) message, and eventually brings down the network. Things are back to normal if I disconnect the server. Pretty much useless as I have to shut down the PMS to keep the network going.
