Plex Server Local Speed Issue

Server Version#: Version 1.20.1.3252
Player Version#: Version 4.34.4

Well my question is why is this happening ? When file is playing it pretty much doubles the Mbps, My Playing on my UA65HU9000 Via 5G Plex crashes, But when i look in server dashboard its still playing, Switched TV to 2.4GHZ so far so good,

My router has a setting screenshot below

It was on 1Gbps I Changed it too 100Mbps, Could that cause the issue?

The File is Jason X and my TV plex app says its 42MBPs

Example in screenshot

Just wondering why ?

cheers

The single bitrate value reported in the file info is the average bitrate for the duration of the file. The actual peak bitrate of a file can be much higher and it will change constantly depending on what is happening on screen.

Are you saying the TV application crashes when you use the 5Ghz wifi band? Are you using the early preview app?

Exactly the 5GHZ Band

But why has the speed doubled ? 42Mbps file to near 80

Also as i said since i switched the asus setting from 1Gbps to 100Mbps seems to be more stable

That is the difference between average and peak bitrate. I have files with more than 3 times “peak” than “average” bitrate. I once wrote a longer explanation about this, which you can read here: What is Media Analysis & Do I Need It - #8 by OttoKerner

The Asus screenshot you show is only for displaying traffic levels to/from the Internet.

Nothing on that screen would have any impact on Plex or any other application.

ahhh ok, I think it because i’am using the older version of plex app, on the ua65hu9000

I have ran across this

I have disabled secure connections, The app crashes but the file in plex says its still playing
