Plex Server Manually Stopping on Synology 7.2

Hello, I’m started encountering a problem where Plex server stops and indicates “Manually Stopped” in the Synology package center. This seems to happen every few days. How can I troubleshoot the root cause? Is there a particular log to check? I’ve used the server for years and have conducted recent upgrades as available. Most recently, today plex recorded a two hours TV show. When I went to watch it an hour later on a local FireStick, the server had stopped.

Plex server crashed again today at 2:16am. Attached is the crash log. Any ideas?

You’ll need to upload the full set of logs.

After Plex stops, restart Plex via Package Center.

Wait 3 minutes for Plex to fully start and log the startup sequence.

Pull the log files (Setting → Troubleshooting) and upload the zip file to the thread.

Hello, plex crashed again today at approx 7:29am. I restarted it at 8:18am. attached are my logs. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Please downgrade (uninstall w/ KEEP option) then install 1.32.8

Hello. Hope everyone had a nice holiday. I downgraded to 1.32.8 using the KEEP option. Today at approx 12:02pm Plex manually stopped again. Here are the most recent logs.

Plex server crashing for me as well, similar to shaywood. Will follow this closely.

This happened to me on synology nas last night, I can see crash logs uploaded.

nas as well. running 1.32.8.7639-7000. I’m having to restart it every day. Running another server on a pc and its working fine.
enclosed are the most current logs, but it might contain from both servers.

Curious whether anyone identified a solution? My Plex server continues to manually stop every day or so. Hoping someone can intrepret the problem from my logs.

Engineering did find the problem.
The fix is in PMS 1.40.0

If you look carefully, you’ll see agents and system bundle didn’t always start.

Thank you. I believe I was originally running 1.40 beta when the problem started - then downgraded. Do you think the fix will be in the final version of 1.40.0?

If the problem started with 1.40.0 then I would wait and watch both the build numbers and release announcements.

Definitely stay back until 1.40.0 is known stable and working.

Have the same Issue on 1.32.8.7639, is there any manual fix until the Update is out?
It keeps Crashing every few days.
If it still helps, i can upload the logs.

They have been fixing 1.40. They found multiple issues with the beta.

your logs show me it failing in DVR which is a known issue they’re working on.
It also fails in 1.40.0.

I suspect when they fix 1.40.0, you’ll be working again as well.

If you wish, I can offer you 1.32.7 for now.
