Plex Server Not Loading & Claiming Problems

Server Version#: latest

Write me a message explaining that I just installed Plex Media Server and that when I click on open Plex, an HTTP instance opens on a page that reloads indefinitely and I can’t do anything. A friend cannot claim his server since today; due to an issue, we removed the server from his account to try to put it back, and currently without success. His server is also running on Windows

  • Configure the server to use public DNS servers: 1.1.1.1 (Cloudflare), 8.8.8.8 (Google), or 9.9.9.9 (Quad9)
  1. Reboot the PC

  2. Verify connectivity to plex.tv

  • Open a Command Prompt window (Win+R, enter CMD)
  • nslookup v4.plex.tv
  • curl http://v4.plex.tv
  • You should see the same as below. The IP address for v4.plex.tv may be different. They vary based on location.
c:\>nslookup v4.plex.tv
