Satellite card tuner not found anymore

Server Version#: 1.23.4.4712
Player Version#: Web Interface
Tuner Make/Model: Digital Devices Cine S6

Hi,

since a recent (not the current) server update, my DVR setup is gone and plex does not offer to reconfigure it as it does not detect the tuner anymore. It did before without any flaws or problems.
In the server log (attached) it says that port 32600 is not available, but when I look in the resource manager, the plex tuner service is listening on this port.

I tried updates to the following server versions (no change), I tried a repair installation and the troubleshooting options from the database. Also tried updating the drivers of my TV tuner, also no change.
I am running the plex server on a WIndows Server 2016 platform.
MediaPortal Server is also installed, never had issues with it before. MediaPortal can access the tuner without problems. To rule out any interactions due to an update, I completely disabled the MediaPortal TV Service part.

Any ideas on how to resolve this? Thanks!

No one able to help me with this one?

I’m having the same issue. PMS version 1.23.4.4775 running on Windows Server 2016 and a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-955q TV tuner. It was working fine previously, now it says it couldn’t find any hardware we recognize. I’ve updated the drivers for the card and verified the server can see it in the device manager

It is hard to analyze with limited logs - previous tuner service logs may show additional information, as may the main Plex server logs (e.g. I’ve seen it detect the tuner in the main server logs even when no tuner is shown in the web interface.)

Lacking additional information, have you tried a full reboot of the Win server to see if it will release the port? Also, take a look at this thread where people have had success with restoring their DVR by deleting the tv.plex.*.* files when faced with similar symptoms.

OMG, thank you so much, deleting the tv-plex.files did the trick. I would never have found that out.

Yep, I found that thread this morning and it resolved my issue as well. Ugh, so frustrating…I’ve spent hours trying to get this to work. Thank you @hokierulz
