Plex server on 6core cpu pc using gogle drive seeing buffering

I have my Plex server running on my AMD FX-6300 CPU and thats all this PC is used for. I have Google Drive unlimited account for all my media. Now i’m noticing if i have larger bit rate files like 10M bit 1080p or 4K files i constantly et the “buffering” when watching on my xbox one every few seconds. I then have to encode to a lower bit rate.

If i store the same file on my PC it plays fine on xbox one, so its something to do with the google drive, maybe not downloading the file fast enough? not sure. I have 1Gbps / 50Mbps internet connection so i know its not me.

Any ideas on what i can try or look for?

Google might limit the read speed to it’s servers below 10Mbps (=1.25MB/s download speed)…so maybe the speed at which you can download information from Google Drive is set at 1MB/s? Keep in mind Google Drive is designed to store and access files. I don’t think their target market is people uploading movies to it for instant playback.
