hi all.
so i have a nvidia shield, the new version 16gb internal storage running the new oreo update and my plex is on the latest update as well. i have an 8tb external storage connected via usb. it is not set up as internal storage.
here is what is going on. so i had my external connected with a bunch of movies and tv shows and what not and everything was working great. i could access everything thru the web page and i could also stream my content outside my house and all was well. i got some more movies ripped unmounted the external and powered down the shield. i connected the external to my computer and transferred the new files over and started the shield back up. i could still see and access all of my previous files but i couldn’t scan in the new files. they just wouldn’t show up. i could scan them into kodi, but plex just wasn’t showing them.
long story short, i ended up factory resetting my shield and starting over with my plex. now plex won’t find ANY of the movies or t.v. shows. the naming conventions have not changed and all are correct. so i’m at a loss here as what to do to have plex find my files.
any help would be appreciated.
