Plex Server Does not Recognize New Files

I’m running PMS on my Nvidia Shield and has been fine except that last week it started not recognizing and new files added. I have removed and re-added the folders and it does the search but still finds no new files.

I have the same problem.

Known bug, waiting for fix update.

Same problem for me, removed the folders, re-install PMS, being crazy …

same issue uninstalled update but lost all my plex library must start again

Same here, won’t add new files Library, noticed this about a week ago.

I cleared PLEX app data and PMS app data in hoping to fix it. Lost my library, now have no files in my library because can’t add any.

Did a factory reset on my NVIDIA shield and uninstalled updates, Still didn’t fix it.

Files are all stored on a network share which is mounted to the Shield.

Shield can definitely access the network share as it works in file explorer and Kodi just fine.

Has anyone managed to get it working again by uninstalling updates or factory reset?

We’ll just have to wait for a fix

Same issue, uninstalled updates and had to setup everything again but scan worked before the update was installed again.

Now that it’s up to date, scan didn’t pick up any new files.

Surely it shouldn’t take this long to fix!

A fix is currently being worked on.

Investigate → Apply Fix → Compile → Test → Is it ok?
case: yes → prepare the update to be submitted → submit the update
case: no → return to Investigate

It can take some time :stuck_out_tongue:

Dev team pushed a hotfix today to the play store. tested it successfully

Thanks the update fixed it!!

How do I get the update? I checked the App store on my Shield and there’s no update alert and the Plex version on the store is the same version I have?

Did you enable auto-update? The version number did not change, so this is how it should be.

First, thanks to everyone for the assistance, it’s greatly appreciated.

Yes, auto-update. Still nothing as files are all marked as missing. Have re-selected the folders and re-booted. Not sure what else to do. But again, thanks to everyone.

Ha, rebooted one last time and now it’s working!!!
