I suddenly can’t stream anything from my Plex server to any of the devices or even play them on the Windows PC that runs the server.I have several device including a Plex TV, Roku, android app etc., and none of them will stream anything from my libraires. It seems like the streaming content included with Plex will work on the devices. I uninstalled the Plex software and reinstalled it, but nothing changed. I did set the “Allow Failback to Insecure Connections” to “Always”, but it did not help. Any hints will be greatly appreciated.

Update–Plex no longer works. I get a network error constantly and Plex won’t play anything on my server. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software several times and sometimes it works a few times before it fails to connect and display a network error 1001 0r 1003. Sometimes a router reset seems to work for a minute and then it fails after a few minute. Any clues would be appreciated,
I disabled my Windows Defender and Firewall and still no functioning Plex server. I feel a little vulnerable to hackers right now, I also notice that the Plex app closes/crashes if I ask it to do anything it doesn’t seem to like. I don’t remember it doing that before. I have to re-start the app frequently to check on the non-streaming status.
It looks like I can stream content from my saved media on my HDDS. Plex balks at streaming any new TV content that I record from my HDHomerun. The files are in the folders an I can play them on the PC/serer with a VLC. The Tv programs show up in the menu, but they will just stop at “loading” at13% and then say it won’t continue anymore. What the heck?!!
It also won’t stream any live TV from the HD Homerun. I checked all of the wiring and my PC/server is a getting 95 Mbs down and 50 up.
So, is there any live support from Plex? Maybe, like a phone number??
I may have found the solution to the broken Plex server. It seems like I may have clicked on using the hardware acceleration setting, and that is what bugged the server. Not sure why, but when I unchecked it, the server started working again, It may be because my graphics card is so low end that the program really should not even try to use it. I did swap out the decent graphics card when I decided to use the computer for mostly a Plex server. It is odd, and not very user friendly for the program to call it a “Server Error”, and “break” the LAN connections when it actually meant to tell me that my graphics card sucks and I have ne business trying to use any sort of hardware acceleration.
Thank you for your post!. I was receiving the same error message as you. I recently placed a check mark next to "Use hardware-accelerated video encoding ". I didn’t notice anything wrong since I hadn’t tried accessing my videos remotely. Once I did, I received the same error message. I removed the check mark thanks to your post and now I can play my videos remotely. I also have a very low end graphics card.
