Unable to play video remotely - s1003 (Network); the player cannot recover

I can play all of my videos on my local network just fine. I also used to be able to play the videos remotely through the Plex android app and app.plex.tv (Web). I’m not exactly sure but I believe it has stopped working within in the last month or 2. When I select a movie or TV show, the cursor just spins like it is trying to load the video and then displays a message stating there has been an error S1003(Network). I enabled debugging and looked at the logs. I found an entry that contained the error.

“[Player] A critical Shaka error occurred: s1003 (Network); the player cannot recover”

Any idea how to correct this?

I was able to find the solution to my problem in this post.

I removed the check mark next to "Use hardware-accelerated video encoding " and I was able to play my videos remotely from the Plex android app and the Web,
