To add to this… PMS works fine on my laptop, but the second I use an AppleTV to enter the live DVR or recorded shows, the server crashes.
If PMS is crashing, as in: the process itself is actually gone (Resource Monitor -> Processes doesn’t show Plex), then I would like
- The ZIP log files containing the most recent crash
- If there are Crash Reports in Plex/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Crash Reports, please make a ZIP of them too and add here with the Logs.ZIP
This thread is focusing on Synology. If PMS is crashing for Windows, please create a fresh thread to avoid confusion.
We think we have the root cause already and are focusing on the data we have in hand.

There is one Crash Report a few days ago.
Today I updated my PMS to version 1.18.3.2111-5a96726d0-x86_64 , because I thought this could solve my problem. But it still exists. I started analyzing one of my Music libraries and checked the console. The console showed some I think HTTP Requests with 200 Response and no errors. Later the Day I wanted to check if it’s still analyzing but this time again I couldn’t connect to the PMS. I opened the Activity Monitor in the DSM, and this is what it showed:
Are you using LiveTV/DVR at all ?
If so, we found and fixed that bug last night.
Today, we found another which causes a crash on Synology (Linux) platforms.
That bug is being QA tested now.

I followed what one person said about deleting the DVR and reboot and re-enable. This has fixed the issue for now.
