The Plex Server app on my laptop stopped working. When I click on the icon to open it, it appears to be launching, but nothing ever happens. I tried rebooting, uninstalling/re-installing, repairing, etc. I don’t know what else I can do, and I didn’t find any articles about it.
I don’t know what version it is, because I can’t launch it. I just know it’s the latest version because I recently downloaded it.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Please be aware that launching the Plex Media Server app does not give you a UI. PMS runs in the background. Check the system tray to see if it’s there. That will indicate if it’s running. Okay, I just launched it and it is in the tray. I should have checked that before. For some reason I thought there was a UI where you can setup directories and folders of what content you want on the Plex. I don’t see any way to do that on the Plex app on the tv, so how would I do it?
