Plex Server service stops running every day

I have a Plex server running on Ubuntu Server 18.04.3. Every day, the Plex service stops running and does not restart. I have basic Linux knowledge, enough to make me dangerous. The problem is resolved either by rebooting or manually starting the Plex service.

From what I can determine, it stops when it does a scan of some of the media, encounters a problem with a file and then stops. I have attached the log files. If any one can assist me to find out why and to fix what is wrong, that would be awesome!

the signal 15 in line below means something external is shutting it down. Some sort of script maybe running at midnight.

if you don’t have any scripts or things running to update media or anything, do you have scheduled tasks starting at midnight. in your server Settings>Scheduled tasks what time are they set to run or finish.

I built the server for a friend of mine using the old Atomic ToolKit scripts. I have since removed Plex and reinstalled it manually. Since you mentioned scheduled tasks, I think there is an option in ATK that schedules updates. I’ll check for that and disable it. After a day I’ll report back if anything changes. Thanks for the quick response.

@BigWheel It was the script to check for updates. I have removed it and everything is working after midnight now. Thanks again.
