I have no clue what happened. I cannot see my share that I’ve had up for months and plex gui will not let me see it nor will it let me add another Library. It’s telling me to install the server even though I’m connected to the GUI locally. Any ideas? I even reinstalled on a totally different host. It sounds like something is wrong with my account on plex end not my end.
Hello and welcome to the Plex forums. I am unclear on your issue. Do you mean you were invited to share someone’s server, but now you can’t see it? If so, you need to check with your friend that is sharing with you. Maybe they removed your share or you are logging in with the wrong account.
If this is your own server, it’s possible your server is logged in to an account different from the one you used to log into Plex Web. Even if they are on the same machine. Read https://support.plex.tv/articles/204281528-why-am-i-locked-out-of-server-settings-and-how-do-i-get-in/ and see if that applies to you.
Interesting. I actually did just change my password and it stopped working. I just opened the Preferences file and I do not any of those parameters to remove.
Steps I’ve tried.
- reinstalled Plex
- Removed Preferences file.
- Lowered MTU
- Removed Devices
I’m still unclear what you don’t see. Your server or a shared server?
