It will randomly shut down at all times of the day. It will run fine for days and then suddenly crash. Driving me crazy as I can’t figure it out. I’ve looked through some of the others that have posted similar issues but doesn’t seem to help my case. Seems to have started back in November2021. I haven’t changed the server(Mac Mini Server) as far as I’m aware(maybe auto-update?). Attaching a database file that I was able to pull immediately have I restarted it and I’m not seeing anything but I’m hoping anyone on here can maybe help point me to the issue. It’s been happening for a few months and so now I’m even more hesitant to do a reinstall of an old backup as I would lose month’s of play history and such. Here is a fresh download of the logs. Was just trying to provide the logs as close to one of the crashes as possible.
I’m not opposing doing a fresh install or your method, just hoping it’s a minor issue that is easily fixed. Plex Media Server Logs_2022-03-04_15-37-42.zip (3.9 MB)
Not seeing anything crazy in your logs, no corruption or basic database issues that I can see anyhow.
This does jump out however and a similar error was in your logs from Jan which is one reason I was asking for a later set …

I don’t use a mac myself but I would suggest maybe stopping plex, delete everything under /Users/davidm/Library/Application Support/Plex Transcode Folder/Transcode and start plex again and see if this helps. Also, double check permissions on these folders …
Maybe someone else from plex could take a look and see if they see anything else.
@samtarb your issues look unrelated to the OP and could be network related as I see lots of network errors in your logs …

to name but a few.
I’d start by making sure your system running plex has a dedicated static IP from your router and is not switching between wired and wireless network adaptors.
Thank you. It would be odd that the fact that this is causing Plex to crash…but I guess I’ve seen smaller things causing issues. I’ve deleted and crossing my fingers this fixes it.
Thank you again and I will report in a bit after giving it a go.
Well, damn. Still crashing on me. I haven’t moved my Transcoding directory, but will do that now…perhaps that will trigger an improvement. I just can’t figure out what is causing the crash.
