Plex server stopped scanning libraries automatically after library folder move

Server 1.41.3.9314 running on Windows 11
Media used to be on local drive and worked beautifully. Autoscans happened almost immediately on adding a file.
Ran out of room so now have a QNAP NAS hosting the media.
Moved media according to instructions here Original locations removed from library.
Everything works great, except that scans are no longer happenning when media is added to the various library folders
Can’t figure out what I did wrong?

From Library | Plex Support:

Note : This function relies on the computer’s operating system providing the “something changed” trigger. Some operating systems don’t provide this trigger and content mounted via a network will also typically not work. If your library doesn’t automatically scan, you may have to set a periodical scan or do it manually.

I’m not sure if there’s a way to get it working, but in general, automatic scanning with network drives is harder than local drives.

The process monitoring the file system for changes and notifying apps is based on the host OS. Your Windows install has no means to do that on the NAS drives.

The replies here make it sound like there is no way of auto-scanning QNAP NAS folders if your attached server is Windows 11 (or Win10). I don’t think this is quite right. I have a QNAP NAS and expansion, plus Windows 11. No local files, only on the NAS.
Auto-scanning works - most of the time.
When I notice it fails to auto-scan, I have to reset the auto-scanning option:
Click Spanner | Settings > Library
Uncheck ’ Scan my library automatically’, Save Changes
Then immediately re-enable them:
Click Spanner | Settings > Library
Check ’ Scan my library automatically’, Save Changes

Auto-scanning across the NAS springs back into life (with a Windows 11 server). Hopefully this is of some assistance.

Thanks @Skynet3_NZ I later asked on Reddit what I can use to scan in other ways, and a bunch of people are saying it DOES work with network shares in Windows - some sporadically, some flawlessly.
I had just tried what you suggested earlier today and then I just now dumped some new media in, so see what happens in the next few hours. It didn’t scan immediately however.
