Plex server stops running (but it might not be a Plex issue)

Hi
Hoping for some advice on some Win 10 monitoring tools (or maybe just some advice  ). I’m running Plex an Intel NUC which doesn’t have a monitor so I’m using Remote Desktop for remote access. At least 2 or 3 times a month I’ll have trouble connecting to Plex, both locally and remotely and when I connect to the server I can see that Plex has stopped running. It could be Plex crashing and not restarting, it could be Windows crashing and rebooting (and Plex not automatically starting). It’s not stopping when I’m using it, it’s doing it when I’m not and I only find out about it when I next try and stream (which could be days / weeks later). What I’m trying to figure out is how I can determine what stopped and why. Anyone got any ideas on where to look ?

Cheers

John

For a start you might want to take a look at
All Programs > Windows System > Windows Administrative Tools (via the start menu) and open Event Viewer.

If the system rebooted or had issues to restart Plex after a reboot, you should find some reference there. That being said… I’m not an expert on Windows… so that’s pretty much the only input I can give.
Alternatively you could take a look at Plex’ own server log files.
