Plex Server - Totally Broken

Server Version#:1.25.2.5319-7000
Player Version#:n/a

I’ve been running a Plex server forever, since Plex was an offshoot of XBMC. I upgraded my NAS to Synology DS920+ last year. The transition worked perfectly and all was right with the world until this morning. I had to reset my Plex administrator password. After doing that I lost connection to my Plex Media Server, it refused to connect. I reset everything through DSM 6 with no luck. After resetting everything my server just stopped appearing altogether. Then I noticed there was an update for DSM 7 on my NAS so I installed that. I checked the Plex forum and found out I’d have to manually upgrade Plex for DSM 7. I followed that procedure updated all my permissions and then I started getting “no soup for you” permission errors. I decided to delete the entire database, delete plex, delete all my plex folders and start over.

So I went that route and now I’m back to the start. There’s no setup when I launch Plex, I can’t add libraries, I can’t create a new server. Logging into my Plex account just lands me at my home page with my buddies plexbox and the default Plex library but none of my content.

How can I force Plex to run the library setup all over again?

Thanks for the response. Unfortunately I get the “No Soup For You” error. I triple checked my permissions on my NAS, all seems in order.

Do I have to do this inside my home network? I’m working on it remotely from the office right now.

Sorry I didn’t know what an RFC 1918 IPv4 address was…

This is RFC-1918 compliant “Private Network”

You have 3 basic address blocks to choose from

Are your computer and NAS on the same subnet in one of those IPv4 address blocks?

If not, go back and look at the modem/router configuration for the “LAN” side.

It should be guiding you to make one which is compliant but some don’t.
