Plex server unable to play trailers

It seems that recently, my Plex server has stopped being able to play any trailers. All media plays just fine, but whenever I try to play a trailer (any trailer) I get the following error:

Playback Stopped Conversion failed. The transcoder exited due to an error.

I guess it pulls trailers from Youtube? Is that correct? I wonder if there is some sort of connection error between the Plex central servers and wherever the trailers are pulled from. Is anyone else seeing this?

I’ve been having the same issue lately too.
I’m also on the same server and player versions as yuo are.

After some investigation, one of the most frequent solutions is to check that your system time and timezone are correctly set.

Sadly, in my case, this did not resolve the issue.

I would guess this is probably to do with YouTube’s crack down on third party YouTube players. YouTube’s ad blocker crackdown now includes third-party apps - The Verge

Same issue on Nvidia shield Pro (with the very last update), trailers from personnal media doesn’t work anymore since few days…

The server doesn’t play anything. The client does the playing.

Absolutely not. The trailers in Plex have nothing to do with YT.

Please follow up in there. It doesn’t make sense to have several threads for the same issue.
