Plex Server Unavailable

Hi.

I have my plex server running on a Synology Nas. Within my local network, my TV running the plex app can see and play my library, my andriod mobile can see and play my library, but my two windows PCs cannot find the server when I login to the local plex url.

This has happened since I installed a new router (Asus RT-AC88U) yesterday. The router has been setup with the same IP, SSID and password as the old router. The DHCP range is the same, the NAS hosting Plex has the same IP.

Any suggestions on how I resolve?

Are you perhaps using Microsoft Edge as web browser on these Windows PCs?
Try using Firefox or Chrome instead.

If it still doesn’t work with an alternative browser, try this: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/comment/1400116/#Comment_1400116

No, am primarily using Chrome, but I’ve also tried Firefox too - both have the same issue.

I followed step 1 from your link:
step 1) Settings - Web - General - ‘Allow Fallback to Insecure Connections’ = “on same network as server”
Afterwards, reload the web app.

So I changed it from Never to “on same network as server”, but still no joy. So I moved to Step 2:
step 2) Settings - Server - Network - ‘Secure Connections’ = “Preferred” or “Disabled”

Under settings, I don’t have an option for server?

Resolved, but I don’t know why …

just changed my router ip from x.x.1.1 to x.x.1.254
