I saw the update that services have been restored, however, on the PlayStation, and IOS devices I still can’t see any Plex libraries that are shared with me. However, my Roku still works, and the Web clients can now authenticate. Is anyone else still experiencing issues?
It appears, after the outage yesterday, or the fact I changed the name of my server, All users that didn’t have Access to ALL Libraries, lost ALL access. If they had All Libraries checked, they were fine. If they only had 4 of the 5 checked, they lost access to all of them.
I had renamed my server when I moved it over the weekend. I don’t know if the renaming caused it, or the outage caused it. I have it resolved now. Just leaving this here in case anyone else runs into the same issue.
I think too much is being controlled by plex.tv, it should serve ONLY as user authentication for the purpose of DDNS lookup for the servers. The servers themselves should control user access, without needing to talk back to plex.tv. The issue with “plex home” being so reliant on plex.tv is just frustrating.
