I have successfully converted and moved Karaoke MP4 files to a new library (other videos). Most items establish the titles and subtitles to match the file name which has the artist - and song title. This makes selections easy to access. For some reason, some of the songs/ mp4 files insert titles like " ASAP-100617". I don’t know why this happens and how I can correct or adjust. I have to manually go in and change the title for a large number of files.
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
Seems like your files have some embedded metadata that Plex picks up (iirc you cannot disable that for other-video type libraries).
You will need to employ a metadata editor app, like e.g. mp3tag for Windows.
This will enable you to embed the title you want. (or simply delete the existing metadata, in case they are all nonsensical)
