I have installed PMS on a 2017 model NVIDIA Shield and it works fine.
Except for HEVC Main 10-bit content. 1080p only, not 4k. It is simply unable to transcode these (to send, for example, to a Samsung smart TV old enough to not have HEVC decoding) at all.
Other 1080p content works fine, transcode or not. Other HEVC content works fine, transcode or not but HEVC 10-bit simply will not work. It starts and constantly buffers, only getting through a few seconds at a time.
What gives? Is there STILL a bug where the Shield cannot transcode HEVC 10-bit and tries to transcode into x264 10-bit?
