Plex should offer a No Ads e.g. Advertising upgrade at additional charge

As the title suggests, I’d like Plex to offer at roughly the cost that they collect for advertising to an average user, an option for the user to pay for No Advertising. I suspect that many of the users would prefer to not pay and thus get ads, but others might pay for the skipping the ads. But the price of this upgrade would have to be set so that Plex profited from it and a reasonable of users felt it was worth while, and so I hope that Plex, as a comment would be able to give a rough estimate of the charge Note: Hulu is charging $7;00 per month for their No-Ads and goodies upgrade. Also it might help if users also indicated, when they voted for such an upgrade, the price that they might add the No-Ads upgrade to their subscription.

Since I started using Plex, I’d probably pay for a Month-Month use, and if I liked it move up to a longer subscription.

Note 2) I am a Newbie, and thus don’t know what other topics are appropriate, or it this is a correct protocol. Please educate me, and I will add other topics, if I can, and rephrase further suggestions. Thanks for any such education.

Due to how content licensing works, this is not always possible. As a general comment, sometimes content can only be offered with ads, per the licensing agreement, and other content may be able to be played without ads, in a subscription model. However, this varies from studio to studio, and per piece of content.

Thanks for the clarification.

As an off the cuff modification: Perhaps the proposal could be changed by having the No-Ads implemented on only the content that was permitted to be offered was without ads. and users could decide if they wanted to see such Ad-Free content. and Plex would split the No-Ad revenue with the No-Ad content providers. Obviously I have not thought out the algorithm, programming, but hope that this is interesting enough to discuss and improve.

As I said before, it’s all limited by licensing agreements, and we can only do what we have a license to do.
